So you have read about ClickBank and Affiliate Marketing and havesigned up with ClickBank as anAffiliate?That’s great, welcome to the world of selling on the internet. The information below is for you, the newcomer to Affiliate Marketing.
As you read and research, please remember one thing — it’s good to learn and decide how you’re going to proceed, to have a plan – but all the reading and researching and information in the world will not earn you one penny. Only ACTION will earn you that first penny. So once you’ve learned and thought and made your plan – Do it, Get Started! You can do this.
First, have you looked at the products available for Affiliates to sell on the ClickBank Marketplace? There are literally thousands, and most are pretty good quality. Go to the Marketplace, pick a Category and Sub-Category, hit Go, and then find a product that interests you, that you might like to sell. At the bottom of the blurb about the product, there are two options, "view pitch page" and "create Hoplink."
Here’s some advice — before you pick a product to sell, read the sales page. The entire page, top to bottom. Is it well written or poorly written? Is it interesting or dull? Does it make you want to buy the product? If you think the sales page is good, that’s great — but if you think theit needs some work, then you need to go to a different product. Why? The Sales Page has to convince your buyers to actually spend their money and buy the product. And the fact is, a poor product with a great sales page will always outsell a great product with a poor sales page. Don’t waste your time on a product with a bad sales page.
Okay, you’ve found your product and checked out the sales page, now you need a Hoplink.What exactly is a Hoplink? It’s the code that ClickBank generates and gives you to place in your sales copy. Click the "Create Hoplink" button, then put your ID in the box, put in a tracking code if you want to use one, and click the Create button. Next you’ll get a box with your Hoplink, a link to the domain, and a blurb about how much commission you’ll be paid per sale.Be sure to save all this, you’ll need it for your marketing.
That’s it, you are now ready to start marketing!
